According to Dixons Carphone the company that owns well known retailer Currys PC World, the pandemic has led to a permanent shift in how many people are buying tech.

Dixons has recently reported that their online sales have doubled since the pandemic with online sales of electrical goods growing by 103%. This increase in sales appears to be trending with other companies during this time with the likes of Amazon, Facebook and Apple also reporting that their online sales have also increased at a similar rate thanks to the pandemic restricting in store shopping.

Despite the numbers showing that many people prefer ordering products online, Chief executive Alex Baldock is still a firm believer in utilising their high street stores with him claiming that β€œthe secret sauce for us is online and stores together, because that is still how most customers prefer to shop.”

Has the pandemic changed the way that you shop or have you been reliant on the internet for your shopping sprees since before the pandemic hit?
